How Textured Art Found Me:

In 2022, I made the difficult decision to leave my job of 19 years. It was a challenging time for both me and my family, but during this time, I discovered the therapeutic power of textured art. I found solace and healing in the creative process, immersing myself in learning and mastering various techniques of textured art. With an insatiable curiosity, I delved into different art mediums, experimenting tirelessly to uncover new possibilities.

As my passion for textured art grew, I began creating pieces for my friends and family, finding joy in seeing how my art could bring happiness to others.  Despite briefly exploring the field of interior design, I was drawn back to textured art—it was where my heart truly belonged.

I fondly remember talking to a friend of mine about paint and sip classes, as I casually suggested I could do something similar and call it Tipsy Textures. With some encouragment and recognising the transformative impact of art on my life, I saw this as an opportunity to share my knowledge and experience with others.   I now love to teach textured art in a fun, relaxed environment where individuals can freely express themselves, surrounded by friends, laughter, and perhaps a glass or two of wine. Today, I continue to explore my creativity, constantly experimenting with new designs and techniques, as textured art remains an integral part of my life and a source of both joy and therapy.
